Mike Dorgan is proud to present this exceptional Alerion Sport 33, offered for sale by her original and meticulous owner, a member of the San Diego Yacht Club who has maintained the vessel to high standards.
Thoughtfully equipped for effortless, single-handed performance sailing, she features an large cockpit, electric winch, wheel steering w/ a Raymarine Smart autopilot, and a self-tacking jib-making everything from leaving the dock to trimming sails remarkably smooth, FAST and enjoyable. Her spacious cockpit, accented with beautifully varnished teak, offers comfort whether sailing solo or entertaining a full complement of family and friends.
Designed for both performance and leisure, this Alerion 33 transitions seamlessly from an exhilarating day sail to a relaxing evening at anchor, complete with a well-appointed galley, refrigeration, running water, and a fully enclosed head-everything needed for comfortable time spent on the water.
The Alerion Sport is very similar to the Alerion Express, however the Sport is known more for her emphasis on sailing performance. Both the Alerion Sport and Express share the same hull, keel and rudder designed by Pearson Marine Group, but they are aimed at different sailing styles.
The Sport 33 is a lighter, faster version designed for higher performance and easier, more open cockpit handling. The Sport is roughly 700-800 pbs lighter than the Express, has a longer and more open cockpit, optimized for racing or active day sailing. The Sport 33 typically comes with a Carbon Fiber mast, eliminating the back stay to allow for a larger roached mainsail and is designed to handle an asymmetrical spinnaker or a code zero for better off-wind performance.
Please reach out to Mike for full details and a time to meet and get onboard for your next sailing adventure. Thank you.
