Walkthrough

The 2-stateroom, 1-head, galley-up floorplan sleeps (4) in the two private staterooms.  The vessel is easily boarded into the covered aft cockpit via the large aft swim/boarding platform and in through a mid-ship transom gate.  From the cockpit, access to the foredeck is made easy and safe with covered sidewalks on either side of the vessel.  A large centerline sliding door provides entry into the main cabin and a combination of molded-in steps and a ladder situated to port leads up to the flying bridge. The extended flying bridge overhangs the aft cockpit and features a deck hatch to cover the stairs leading down.  One instantly notices the generous space with plenty of room for added guest seating.  The centerline helm is forward and offers full navigation electronics and great visibility.  The helm also has a pedestal bucket captain's seat with companion seat to port.  The 11' RIB dinghy and 20/hp outboard are hauled and stored on the flying bridge with help from a (new 2024) Atkins & Hoyt electric davit with remote control.  Entering the salon from the cockpit one immediately notices the bright natural light and water vistas thanks to 360 degree windows all around.  An entertainment center with storage is aft and to port with an L-shaped settee stretching forward along the port side with storage beneath.  Across to starboard and aft is a port-facing sofa with storage beneath and refrigeration forward.  The salon also features a folding leaf table and generous engine room access via removable deck hatches.  The practical galley-up arrangement positions the galley forward and to the port side of the cabin. The lower helm station with sliding side access door is forward and to starboard and offers great visibility.  Moving forward and down along the centerline one finds the guest stateroom featuring over/under bunk beds to port with the very accommodating head compartment with separate shower stall across to starboard.  The master stateroom is situated completely forward in the vessel and offers a queen-size centerline island berth.

The Mariner Orient 40 is a pretty boat with a proportionate profile and beautifully classic lines.  She is built with a shallow, full-length keel and shoe-style rudder protecting the running gear.  The interior sole is teak & holly throughout with neutral color accents and earth tone window coverings.  The exterior hull color is white gelcoat with a blue boot stripe, navy blue canvas and black anti-fouling bottom paint.  It should be noted that the Mariner 40 is easy to live with having just enough exterior teak, easy hose-off outdoor areas and easily managed interior surfaces.  Additionally, she has generous engine servicing space, single engine simplicity and is very cost effective to maintain and operate.

Cockpit

Boarding the vessel is made safe and easy by way of a large aft swim/boarding platform. The aft platform offers a flip-down stainless steel swim ladder, non-skid decking, and a centerline transom door leading into the cockpit. The cockpit itself is arranged with covered sidewalks on either side for foredeck access, a large sliding cabin access door, and a combination staircase/ladder on the port side leading up to the flying bridge with storage cabinet beneath. The aft cockpit is self-bailing and also features overhead cover, a benefit of the extended flying bridge's overhang.  An in-deck lazarette storage compartment lessens the amount of complication in the engine compartment.  Other cockpit features include:
