Step aboard Petrel, a beautifully maintained 1984 Sabre 38 MK1, with surprisingly clean and dry decks for a girl her age. She runs reliably on a robust and carefully maintained Westerbeke engine and with the spritely sailing performance of the popular Sabre design. Petrel has had three owners, and each was diligent in the care and maintenance of this fine vessel.
The Sabre 38 is known for classy design and fast, nimble sailing features. She offers two cabins fore and aft and two salon berths. Petrel has an electric windlass, Furuno radar, Garmin GPS/instruments, autopilot, AIS and an EPIRB. She sports 10 cabin top winches, main and genoa sails in good condition and a lightly used spinnaker. Her rigging (updated in 2012) was inspected in 2025 and deemed in fine condition; below she has a dedicated propane heater. Her current owner invested in a gorgeous Fairclough winter cover in 2023.
Petrel has been maintained by the reputable Stanley's Boat Yard in Barrington, MA and is ready for her next adventure.
