A classic Marshall Californian LRC, sea kindly and safe, that has been maintained with care. She's a comfortable liveaboard with a large fuel capacity (500 gals between four tanks) and economical Perkins engines - at 8-9 kts she's sipping fuel at about one mile per gallon. Originally referred to as America's answer to the Grand Banks, the Californian now has a following as a classic in her own right.
Port and starboard sliding entry doors from wide side decks access the salon and inline galley. There’s an L shaped settee with dining table that converts to a bed, a desk with bar cabinet and drawers and multiple storage lockers throughout the area. The lower helm is situated to starboard beside the starboard door. Wraparound 360 degree large windows offer great visibility and light! Forward are stacked berths with storage beneath and an escape hatch above, a desk with drawers and a hanging locker, with the chain locker in the bow and a secure storage locker above the desk on the starboard side. The forward enclosed head compartment comprises a manual Jabsco head, vanity with stainless steel washbasin and a separate stall shower. The aft stateroom features double berths port and starboard and an aft hatch/companionway with stairs folded to the overhead when not in use – which provides direct access to the aft deck when stairs are lowered. Wonderful for morning coffee on the Island! There are three hanging lockers and two sets of drawers for additional storage. The enclosed head compartment features a “half tub” with shower and sliding doors, a manual Jabsco head and a long vanity with stainless steel washbasin and in counter storage in addition to three drawers and under sink storage. Sole is fitted with parquet style vinyl tile throughout (except the forward head compartment) with traditional rugs for warmth and comfort. Both heads are fresh water flush only
